Shannon Aerospace is to increase its workforce by 150. The Clare company has secured a contract to overhaul 100 Airbuses for Lufthansa and plans to increase its workforce from 750 to 900 by the middle of next year.

The company reported a turnover of £38 million last year. It will add a new production line to the four already in operation at Shannon. The company is planning a second Airbus production line next spring.
