World Cup bid

Driss Benhima, the president of Morocco's bid to stage the 2006 World Cup, was in London last week to publicise his country's attempts to get the hosting nod from FIFA and impressed all who listened to him with his, em, frankness about the quality of the bid.

"We have no money, we have poor facilities, poor infrastructure, we cannot lure sufficient sponsors and media deals and we don't have the stadiums," he said. Apart from all that, though, he reckons they've as good a chance as any.
