Chelsea, the Cup Winners' Cup holders, will be without their captain Dennis Wise as they attempt to build on the 1-0 advantage they hold from the first leg at Stamford Bridge when they play Helsingborgs in Sweden tonight.

Wise is close to recovery after a knee injury but the manager Gianluca Vialli said: "It is a matter of whether to risk him or save him for another couple of days and then have him 100 per cent fit."

Helsingborgs are having a disappointing season and stand fifth in the Swedish premier division with five games left. But 10 players remain from the squad that eliminated Aston Villa from the UEFA Cup in 1996.
