Ulster boxer Mark Winters has said he will not hang up his gloves following the collapse of Liverpool's Carl Wright after their British title fight on October 11th at the Sheffield Arena.
Wright, who had brain surgery to remove a blood clot, is still "seriously ill" in Walton Hospital. But Winters has been helped by the support of Wright's coach, Colin Moorcroft and has peldged to fight again.
"Colin told us that Carl would not want me to give up and that was a big encouragement for me to keep fighting and I will fight on."
"I haven't been in touch with my manager, Frank Warren, and I'll probably not fight again until after Christmas," he added. "The victory over Carl will always have a shadow over it and I have to accept that. But when I have my first defence I hope I can then enjoy my success."
