RELIEVED Mark Williams yesterday made it the `third time lucky' against Peter Ebdon this season, after winning through to today's British Open final against Stephen Hendry, who dismissed Steve Davis in the other semifinal last night.

Williams came through a scrappy but exciting final frame to win 6-5. Ebdon had won their previous two meetings this season, in Bangkok and Aberdeen.
