JOCKEY Jason Weaver and trainer Willie Muir were the men to follow at Lingfield yesterday with a double apiece. Weaver was successful on Persian Conquest and As-Is while Muir notched a two timer with Quiet Arch and Countless Times.
Owner Brian Scott, a retired glamour photographer, who landed the Ladbroke Trophy Final, the richest all-weather race at the course, on Saturday with Blue Flyer, followed up with Persian Conquest, also trained by Roger Ingram, in the Westminster Claiming Stakes.
Persian Conquest was sent ahead on the bend by Weaver to hold the challenge of the favourite Galapina by a length.
