League of Ireland/Cork City 2 Bray Wanderers 2:Bray Wanderers were close to completing a shock win over Cork City at Turner's Cross until left-winger Liam Kearney intervened. His persistent runs in the second half helped produce two goals as Cork salvaged a precious point from a game they looked like losing until the closing 10 minutes.

Bray shook Cork with a breakaway goal in the ninth minute and played with rare composure as they absorbed Cork pressure.

Goalkeeper Chris O'Connor saved from John O'Flynn and his quick clearance sent Bray raiding down their right flank. Patrick Kavanagh carried the ball clear and his low ball flew across the penalty area. Andrei Georgescu was unmarked at the far upright and had a simple task to turn the ball past goalkeeper Mark McNulty.

Bray should have stretched their lead in the 34th minute. Cork's centre-back Dan Murray got his head to a cross and the ball fell kindly for Georgescu, whose shot on the turn from 12 yards flew over.

Bray punished Cork again in the 50th minute. Stephen Fox's astute pass inside full back Darragh Ryan sent Kavanagh racing clear, and although the advancing McNulty partially blocked his shot, the ball went through his legs to the net.

Cork fought back and in the 71st minute Kearney dribbled clear on the left and crossed for O'Flynn to head in at the near post.

It was Kearney who also set up the equaliser in the 82nd minute. After a driving run on the left he cut the ball across the area for Leon McSweeney to knock it into the net.
