In the previous two rounds of the Munster Schools' Senior Cup, Liam Meade proved to be the hero of Colaiste Muire's advancement.
Yesterday in Crosshaven, Meade again contributed to the cause, but the heroics came from colleague Damian Walsh.
Walsh dropped a goal 90 seconds from the end to put his side into the quarter-finals just as Bandon looked set to escape with a win.
Bandon took the lead with a John Hudson penalty, but Crosshaven led at the interval after Peter O'Leary's 24th-minute try.
Meade kicked a penalty seven minutes into the second half, but Bandon took control when Hudson converted a try from Rory Hennessey.
That was until Walsh provided the winning score.
Scorers: Colaiste Muire 11 (P O'Leary - try, L Meade - pen, D Walsh - dropped goal) Bandon Grammar: 10 (R Hennessey - try, J Hudson - pen, con).
