April 1909: Celtic 1 Rangers 1

The supporters of both clubs were furious that extra-time was not played at Hampden Park when the teams finished the Scottish Cup final replay level at 1-1. The crowd proceeded to demolish parts of the ground; the barricades and turnstiles were broken and fires set alight. The riot raged on for four hours before police could regain control. The competition was abandoned, the Scottish Cup and medals withheld, and both clubs fined £150.

May 1980: Celtic 1 Rangers 0

Celtic lifted the Scottish Cup thanks to a Danny McGrain shot that was deflected by George McLuskey. At the final whistle the Celtic players went to the King's Park end to join their supporters in celebration. Up at the other end, the Rangers fans saw red and hundreds began charging up the pitch to engage in battle.

Among the most fiery Old Firm derbies to date as three players, Chris Woods, Terry Butcher and Frank McAvennie, were red-carded. The trio, plus Rangers' Graham Roberts, who actually finished the game in goal, were subsequently summoned by the courts for `behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace'.
