Kerry 1-9 Tipperary 1-9: TIPPERARY FOUGHT back from being six points down early in the second half to force a replay with Kerry in the Munster minor football championship final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh yesterday.
Their courageous revival started with a brilliant solo goal from midfielder Alan Moloney 11 minutes from the end, finishing with a low shot from 12 yards to make it 1-8 to 1-6. Captain Conor Sweeney kicked a free almost immediately and a Michael Dwyer free five minutes from full-time levelled matters.
Barry John Walsh restored Kerry's advantage with a superb free from way out on the left, but Sweeney cancelled it out a minute from the end with another free.
Kerry led by 1-6 to 0-4 at half-time, the goal coming from Walsh after eight minutes following a move involving Paul Geaney and Cian Tobin. Tobin was shown a second yellow card near the end.
The replay is to be played as the curtain-raiser to the Kerry versus Roscommon All-Ireland junior football semi-final in Ennis this Saturday. Confirmation of the throw-in time is expected today.
