THE FAI announced yesterday that ticket prices for the game against Russia in Lansdowne Road on March 26th will be considerably lower than is normally the case for home games.

Admission to see the Russians will cost £5 and £7 for standing areas and between £12 and £25 for seats, while every ticket will contain a voucher for a free video on the Charlton era.

The move is aimed at going some way towards compensating supporters who paid into the abandoned friendly match against England last year.

Sean Connolly the FAI chief executive, said yesterday on RTE radio that tickets would be allocated on the same basis as they were for the England game. So possession of a ticket stub from that clash will not be an advantage this time.
