After a scrappy match Templeogue eventually held on for a narrow win to proceed to the next round

After a scrappy match Templeogue eventually held on for a narrow win to proceed to the next round. Neither side sparked into life until Templeogue's flanker Bernard Donoghue ran in a try minutes before half-time. The move was started by Brian Dowling who ran well in the loose all day and was also responsible for the conversion.

Mount temple began the second half well and scored their only try after eight minutes when Darragh fFrench broke from the base of a five metre scrum to go over the line.

Try as they did Mount Temple could not score again and bowed out of the cup but managed to show that there is some strength in section A.
