Galway SF
Jarlath Fallon is back in the frame as manager John O'Mahony prepares his team for Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final against Derry at Croke Park. Fallon had been sidelined ever since suffering a hamstring injury during the fourth-round qualifier win over Cork on July 22nd, but he has now returned to light training within the last week.
O'Mahony is still carefully monitoring Fallon's progress but admitted yesterday that he is now likely to play some role in Sunday's game. "He is back on the field now and that's the first step," he said. "But we are still keeping our options open about what role he will play on Sunday."
Paul Clancy continues to be bothered by some ankle problems but that is unlikely to rule him out of the action while Derek Savage is also operating at full fitness.
Bad news, however, for Lorcan Colleran, who is out of contention with an ankle injury.
The team will to be announced tomorrow night.
Derry SF
Manager Eamon Coleman yesterday reported "no injury worries whatsoever" ahead of Sunday's game with Galway. The full panel came through a heavy training session under wet conditions on Sunday evening, and the minimum of changes are expected from the side that beat Tyrone in the quarter-final.
The team is also due to be announced tomorrow night.
Kerry SF
Maurice Fitzgerald has put himself back in contention for a starting place in the Kerry team after some pivotal goal-scoring in the Kerry championship last weekend. His stunning late goal for South Kerry forced a draw with Kerin's O'Rahillys, giving manager Pβid∅ ╙ SΘ further food for thought ahead of the second All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday week. John Crowley, in contrast, was surprisingly held scoreless as Glenflesk fell to An Ghaeltacht.
Meath SF
Paddy Reynolds - who missed the last two games through suspension - will be available for selection when Seβn Boylan finalises his team to face Kerry on Sunday week.
With no injuries currently reported, Boylan will be able to make his selection from a full-strength Meath panel.
Limerick U21 H
Limerick forward Sean O'Connor has been handed a three months' suspension by the Munster GAA Council following his sending off against Tipperary in the Munster under-21 hurling final. O'Connor will now miss next Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final against Galway in Ennis and, should Limerick advance, will also be unavailable for the final.
Limerick manager Dave Keane is also resigned to being without Mark Keane for Saturday's game. Keane was injured in the provincial final.
