After many years of trying, Rhona Fanagan (Milltown) finally won her first Leinster Ladies' Alliance captain's prize at Castle last Friday. The captain in question was Yvonne Manahan, who tried to ensure good weather by placing a "lucky" Infant of Prague statue in her garden the night before and on the first tee during the day.

Scoff if you like, but it worked, with the 50 competitors enjoying beautiful conditions throughout!
