GOOD COUNSEL, New Ross, proved too strong for Maynooth Post Primary in a one-sided Leinster Colleges SFC tie at Maynooth yesterday.

The Wexford team, who won the All-Ireland title last year, took the lead with a Brendan Keogh goal.

Pierce Ennis got Maynooth's first score from a free in the 17th minute, but Good Counsel replied with four more scores.

A Philip Gleeson goal saw the winners leading 2-8 to 0-4 at half-time.
