Women's Football/ Ballyboden St Enda's 0-9 Donoughmore 0-7: Ballyboden St Enda's remain on course to retain the All-Ireland title after a 0-9 to 0-7 victory over Donoughmore in their semi-final replay at Páirc Uí Mhurchú yesterday.

The Dublin outfit beat their Cork counterparts in last year's All-Ireland decider, but there was to be no revenge for Donoughmore yesterday despite a strong second-half comeback after they trailed 0-7 to 0-2 at the break.

Ballyboden will meet Monaghan champions Donaghmoyne in the final.

The sides traded points in the opening exchanges before Ballyboden grabbed the initiative with six unanswered points. A Sarah Denvir effort for Ballyboden made it two points apiece and it was to be the last time the sides would be tied. Joanne O'Sullivan, Louise Kelly, Natalia Hyland, Gemma Fay and Orla Scollard all pointed to give Ballyboden a five-point lead at the break.

The margin would have been significantly less had Ballyboden goalkeeper Susan Hughes not pulled off a fantastic save from Ashling O'Connor when the score was 0-6 to 0-2.
