Bury manager Neil Warnock has warned off Premiership strugglers Sheffield Wednesday by slapping a £4million price tag on Republic of Ireland reserve goalkeeper Dean Kiely.

Salford-born Kiely (27) has been outstanding in Bury's surprise rise into the First Division promotion pack. Wednesday manager Danny Wilson is concerned about the form and recent clangers of Hillsborough's first choice Kevin Pressman. Warnock, whose side go to Crystal Palace tonight already 3-0 up in their League Cup tie, said: "Kiely is the best goalkeeper in the Nationwide League. He would cost Sheffield Wednesday or anyone else £4 million, that's no joke. He's worth every penny."

Harry Redknapp has revealed a link-up between West Ham and Italian giants Juventus is in the pipeline. Redknapp travelled to Rome at the weekend to meet Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi and is keen on forming an association with the serie A club.
