Smullen leaves for home later this week and will ride as number two jockey to John Oxx this season.
Willie Supple gained his 19th win of the season in the UAE after guiding Hamdan al Maktoum's Lattam to his second Abu Dhabi grass success on the same card.
The draw for the world's richest race, the $4 million Dubai World Cup (10f) at Nad Al Sheba on Saturday, will be announced today. The European sextet eyeing glory are Bijou d'Inde, Even Top, Flemensfirth, Singspiel, Luso (Michael Kinane) and Helissio. The remainder of the 13-strong field are Formal Gold, Hokuto Vega, Juggler, Kammtarra, Key of Luck, Sandpit and Siphon.
However, Gay Kelleway's Sorbie Tower, one of three intended British runners in the World Cup consolation race, the Duty Duty Free, has knocked his off fore and misses the race.
