Schools Rugby Leinster Junior Cup/St Patrick's CS 6 The High School 5:  Two penalties from Eamon Sheridan were enough to earn St Patrick's Classical School a place in the last four of the Leinster Schools Fr Godfrey Junior Cup at Wesley College yesterday.

As the result might suggest, this could have gone either way and centre Sheridan's kicks in the second and 26th minutes gave St Patrick's a lead to defend as forwards Rocky Perez, Anthony Cutajar and Shane Ronan-Duggan drove them into enemy territory.

The High School came out all guns blazing in the second period and it looked good for them when flanker Gareth Austen took the ball to the line from a well-worked lineout and direct rucking in the 32nd minute.

There was much to admire in the hard work of Gavin Sadlier, Gavin Thornberry and Austen up front, prompted by scrumhalf Colin Sheridan. But, St Patrick's defence was disciplined and defiant.
