Louis Saha yesterday discovered the doctor's verdict on his hamstring operation - and the striker will not pull on a Fulham jersey until mid-January at the earliest. The Frenchman, who sustained an injury in September, went under the surgeon's knife on Thursday and faces another two months watching from the Loftus Road stands, starting against Dynamo Zagreb in the UEFA Cup tonight.

Fulham boss Jean Tigana is also without Sean Davis and Barry Hayles for the second round, second leg clash with the Croats. Tigana, whose side hold a 3-0 lead from the away match, will assess Davis' fitness when he starts ball work next week after he suffered a fractured toe. Hayles has developed pain around his neck vertebrae, meaning a week's rest.
