The ladies will find a new-look Curragh when they tee-off in the annual Curragh Ladies Scratch Cup on Saturday next. Because of foot-and-mouth restrictions, the course has been closed to golfers for the last two months and the ladies will be faced with rough for the first time.
Sheep returned to the Curragh on July 2nd and Rebecca Coakley will be hoping they have feasted enough to allow her to repeat last year's performance when she set a new course record on her way to victory.
Also in the high-class field with be locals Lillian Behan, the former Curtis Cup player Sinead Keane and Maura Murrin.
