Mary Reveley reacted angrily after one of her horses was adjudged to have been "schooled in public" at Wetherby yesterday.

She was upset at the punishment handed out by the stewards after her jumping debutant Myline had finished a never-dangerous seventh behind Benbyas in the John Wade Haulage Ltd Novices' Hurdle but ruled out an appeal.

Mrs Reveley was fined £750, jockey Alan Dempsey banned for five days (December 7th-8th and 10th-12th) and Myline himself suspended for 30 days after a lengthy inquiry.

"I couldn't in all honesty say Alan gave him a bad ride. It annoys you when you are trying your best but there is no point in appealing - it is a waste of time," said an angry trainer.
