STRIKER RUUD van Nistelrooy and central defender Pepe have recovered from injury and are available for Real Madrid's Champions League Group H match against Juventus tonight.

"We can call on them" said coach Bernd Schuster. "Ruud is feeling in really good shape and has no pain," Schuster added.

"But we are still not completely sure how we will do things. It will be a very hard match from the start so we don't know yet if he'll start or come on during the match."

The Dutchman injured his right knee against Juve in last month's 2-1 defeat in Turin and missed Sunday's 1-1 draw at Almeria.

Fabio Cannavaro has said Real Madrid must avenge last month's Champions League defeat to Juventus when the two sides meet at the Bernabeu.

The World Cup-winning Italian defender, who left Juventus two years ago, was constantly jeered by home fans in Turin when the Spanish champions lost 2-1 thanks to a stunning goal from in-form Alessandro Del Piero and a header from Amauri.

"We cannot afford to fail," said Cannavaro after his side were held to a 1-1 draw at Almeria in the Primera Liga on Sunday.

After three matches, Juve top Group H on seven points with Real on six. BATE Borisov of Belarus have two points and face Zenit St Petersburg, who lie bottom with one.
