LEINSTER JFC FINAL REPLAY: Louth 1-12 Longford 0-10: A GOAL from the penalty spot by Conor Rafferty with 10 minutes remaining made sure of a Louth victory in the Leinster junior football championship final replay at Pearse Park last night.

It was Louth’s first success in this competition since 1966 but prior to the penalty Longford only trailed by a solitary point, 0-10 to 0-9, after staging a spirited comeback in the second-half.
