A gripping contest at O'Toole Park yesterday saw Tallaght IT triumph with Conal Rabbitte's 76th-minute goal decisive.

St Patrick's opened up a 1-5 to 0-2 lead as Mickey Kenny netted on 20 minutes. Tallaght responded with a goal from Brendan McManaman which left it 1-6 to 1-5 for St Patrick's at half-time.

However, Tallaght sealed the title with goals from Mike Lyons and Rabbitte.
