While Chelsea are attempting to gain honours in the Premiership, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup, their former player Brian Laudrup has been playing in front of 200 spectators for his Danish club Copenhagen.

Now in their winter break in Denmark, Copenhagen have been playing on the Costa Del Sol in front of a handful of locals and some bored holiday-makers.

Laudrup, who walked out on £40,000 a week at the London club, jogged through one half of his team's 1-0 defeat to a lower division Danish club earlier this week in what was billed grandly as the Scandinavian Cup.

Widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, Laudrup has yet to play in a genuine contest for Copenhagen as he joined the club just after they started the winter break which ends in four weeks' time.
