Queen's Logic sound

Four days of superb action at Newmarket begins today with unbeaten Queen's Logic facing strong competition from some talented rivals in the £150,000 Shadwell Stud Cheveley Park Stakes.

Since scoring at Newbury on her debut, the daughter of Grand Lodge has won Royal Ascot's Queen Mary Stakes and the Peugeot Lowther Stakes at York to earn a quote of 14 to 1 for the Sagitta 1,000 Guineas. Trainer Mick Channon reports the filly, who will be having her last race of the season, in great form.

Sophisticat, Silent Honor, Good Girl and Massarra - who were second, third, fourth and seventh respectively in the Lowther - renew rivalry with Queen's Logic in the Group One contest.

Aidan O'Brien, who is responsible for Sophisticat, also has Lahinch in the race.

Michael Grassick's Sweet Dilemma and the Dermot Weld-trained Steaming Home also make the journey.

Silent Honor's trainer David Loder is also double-handed in the six-furlong dash. Frankie Dettori rides Silent Honor while Jamie Spencer will partner Morouj, but they all have Queen's Logic to beat.

Another unbeaten runner, Indian Dreamer, can score again in the £400,000 Tattersalls Houghton Sales Stakes over seven furlongs.

The two-year-old colt, trained by David Loder, made a winning debut when beating the favourite Gallant Boy at Leicester on September 11.

He had half a length to spare in a 19-runner field and gave the impression that there was better to come.

Silence Is Golden could follow up her previous wins by taking the European Breeders Fund Jersey Lily Fillies' Nursery over seven furlongs.

The filly, trained by Brian Meehan, was 7 to 2 favourite when winning over the July course at Newmarket in August.

She had two and a half lengths to spare over 12 to 1 chance First Ordained after being ridden out to lead inside the final furlong.

Henry Cecil's High Pitched could complete a hat-trick in the NGK Spark Plugs Rated Stakes (Showcase Handicap) over a mile and a half.

The Indian Ridge colt was an odds-on winner of a maiden race at Haydock in August by a head from Anticipate before showing improvement to land a 20-strong handicap at Doncaster by a neck from Ahraar.
