Punters in Ireland and Britain will have to rely on the all-weather action at Southwell today as frost has wiped out the day's jumps meetings.

And prospects for a resumption of racing on turf tomorrow look poor as inspections are scheduled to take place for the day's five meetings - Down Royal, Catterick, Haydock, Kempton and Stratford.

Frost saw today's fixtures at Down Royal, Uttoxeter and Kelso fall by the wayside.

The going has changed to slow for Southwell's all-weather meeting today but clerk of the course Michael Prosser expects the meeting to go ahead.

Officials at Kempton have called an inspection at noon today to see if tomorrow's meeting can go ahead. Both the chase and hurdle courses are frozen.

Haydock are hoping the forecasters have got it wrong if tomorrow's meeting is to stand any chance of going ahead.

A precautionary inspection has been called for 1 p.m. today.

Officials at Catterick believe there is still a chance that tomorrow's meeting will go ahead.

An inspection will be held at 7.30 a.m. tomorrow as the course is frozen in places.

The course at Stratford is still frozen and inspection will be held at 1 p.m. today as planned.

Pulau Tioman has been awarded the Halliwell Landau John of Gaunt Stakes run at Haydock on June 10th following the disqualification of the Joanna Morgan-trained One Won One at Portman Square yesterday.
