Shamrock Rovers v Monaghan United, (Tolka Park, 7.45)

It's a case of don't worry and just keep on playing football for Bobby Browne's newly-promoted Monaghan. And the fact they have yet to score a goal in their three games back in the Premier Division isn't a huge concern for the Monaghan manager. "We let ourselves down a bit against Derry, but if we had taken our chances in the other two games we could have six points by now," said an upbeat Browne.

"We haven't managed a goal yet, but I would be more concerned if we weren't playing well and not creating chances. We must persevere and hopefully get a break in front of goal. Rovers are flying after winning in Longford, but we won't play defensively and will have a go at them."

With winger Eddie Meier still out with a calf injury, Monaghan will be unchanged.

Rovers, buoyed by that win in Longford, can go second with a win; just the fillip before meeting champions and unbeaten league leaders Bohemians at Dalymount Park on Friday.

Gareth Cronin is still recovering from his cartilage operation so Rovers will be unchanged. "It's more important to build on last week before looking ahead to next week," said manager Damien Richardson.
