One to watch: Sheldon Coulter (centre). If the underage international manages to break into the starting line-up then he will treat onlookers to exceptional ability with ball in hand.

Prospects: Very brittle up front where they were taken apart by Leinster. Will need to do considerably better in the tight five. They need David Humphreys to be fit, Jonathan Bell and Andy Ward to be at their best and Simon Mason to kick goals. Good backs if they can get the ball. Contenders for playoffs, should do enough.

Fixtures

v Edinburgh Reivers Sept 18th (h), Nov 8th (a).

v Ebbw Vale Oct 10th (a), Oct 30th (h).

Edinburgh Reivers

Coach: Ian Rankin.

Captain: Alan Tait.

Ground: Easter Road Stadium.

Colours: Black/Red/White.

One to watch: Martin Leslie (flanker). Son of former All Black and Garryowen coach Andy. Excellent player.

Prospects: Disastrous sequence of defeats including losses to Munster and Leinster. Despite the presence of Craig Chalmers, Tony Stanger and Alan Tait they seemed doomed to prop up the pool.

Ebbw Vale

Coach: Leigh Jones.

Captain: Kingsley Jones.

Ground: Eugene Cross Park.

Colours: Red/Green/White.

One to watch: Siua Taumalolo (full-back). Tongan international who starred in last season's SWALEC Cup final defeat by Llanelli. Strong, potent runner.

Prospects: Powerful back row of internationals in Kingsley Jones, Richie Collins and Mark Jones, scrum-half David Llewellyn, outhalf Byron Hayward and centre John Funnell have also been capped. Could be the surprise packets of the group and look the main threat to Ulster's pretensions.

Toulouse

Coach: Guy Noves.

Captain: Jerome Cazalbou.

Ground: Stade Les Septs Deniers.

Colours: Red/Black.

One to watch: Xavier Garbajosa (wing). French international born to fly. Consummate finisher who shines despite the presence of Emile N'Tamack.

Prospects: Hammering everyone domestically so far this season, Toulouse are undoubtedly short odds to make the final. Peppered with internationals - Califano, Deylaud, N'Tamack, Tournaire, Pelous, Marfaing - they should prevail in the pool without raising a sweat.
