Ten men's and six women's teams will contest the Pitch and Putt Inter-County championship at the Waterford Crystal club this weekend. In the women's championship, the holders, Dublin seek to retain the title they won for the 15 time, with an all time record score, at Navan last year. However, Kildare with National champions Marian Byrne and Bernadette Coffey in their side will be the main dangers.
Meath defend the Anchor Cup for the men's championship. Sean Downes, a member of three winning Meath teams will again lead the side. The four times National champion is joined by two more of last year's winning quartet Dermot McGregor and Derek Coogan. The Royal County squad is completed by Liam Sheridan, and Irish International Graham Temple.
