The Columban Fathers are hosting a scramble at Connemara golf club on Friday October 29th to raise funds for a new centre in the Philippines. The project, located one hour from Manila, aims to demonstrate how we can live on the planet in a sustainable manner.

It was initiated by Fr John Leydon of Dunmore/ Philippines and funding for the initial stage was provided by the late Fr Brendan O'Connell of Tuam/ Phillippines. The Colombans hope to raise a further £15,000 with the staging of the golf event. Teams of four cost £200 and places may be booked by contacting Morgan O'Connell at (095) 23502.
