Gowran Park has to pass a 7.00 inspection this morning for racing to go ahead after heavy rain has thrown the meeting into some doubt.
Up to yesterday evening, 13mms of rain had fallen on the track and the forecast suggests that anything between 5mms and 14mms more will fall by this morning.
"The way the wind is blowing, I would hope we won't get 14mms but anything more than 5mms and I would have to have reservations," said Gowran manager Tom Carroll.
The feature is the Victor McCalmont Stakes, where Pink Coral has been re-routed from tomorrow's Epsom Oaks.
It seemed an ideal opportunity to pick up a black type win for Pink Coral but she will hardly be suited by an extreme of going. The balance of her form is excellent, but on this surface, Orange Sunset's debut win on yielding to soft at Navan last May reads significantly.
Not A Sound made an eye-catching debut here and should land the three-year-old maiden.
