OFFALY have made two changes in their team for their Leinster hurling championship semi-final against Wexford at Croke Park on Sunday. After their rather fortuitous one-point victory over Laois, they have brought in Gary Hanniffy for Paudie Mulhare at centre forward, while, in a reshuffle elsewhere in their attack, John Troy comes in at right corner forward, with Joe Dooley moving to left half forward. Killian Farrell is left out.
The selection of Troy in the corner is a surprise. He is generally regarded as a central attacker and has figured prominently as centre forward in most of his appearances, but that role is now given to Gary Hanniffy as Offaly fry to inject some extra bite into the attack.
Offaly go into the match against All-Ireland champions Wexford with a fair amount of confidence. The team which has been selected includes only two players who did not figure in last year's Leinster final - Colm Cassidy at left half back and Hanniffy at centre forward.
