O'Brien has two in Grand Prix de Paris

Aidan O'Brien is set to try and extend his remarkable Group One winning streak in Sunday's Grand Prix de Paris.

The Ballydoyle trainer has left the Cork winner Hans Anderson and Bonnard in the 10-furlong contest at Longchamp and a stable spokesman said yesterday: "It is certainly possible that both horses could run in the race."

Milan had been touted as a possible runner for the Grand Prix but runs instead in today's King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot which leaves a small but select field in France. There are just three other entries in the race but they include Chickicantenango and Okawanago.

The domestic action this evening is at Down Royal where the Newbridge-based trainer Emmanuel Hughes can justify the long journey north with a winner in the sprint handicap. One thing is sure and that is that Tropical King will not be a 20 to 1 shot as he was when beaten just a short head and a neck at Tipperary last time.

Hughes has had just the one winner from seven starters this Flat season but Natalie Know's picked up that race a couple of days ago so the stable are clearly in form and the forecast "good to firm" going should not be a problem for Tropical King.

The Charlie Swan-ridden Supreme Arrow can take the opener.
