Drogheda kick off what seems likely to be another grim week with a visit to Tolka Park for this refixed match, the fourth between the sides this season.

Manager Martin Lawlor is still without suspended duo Martin Beggs and John Reid, while James Impey and Rod de Khors are doubtful after missing Saturday's trip to Finn Harps. A win, as it was when they visited Tolka for a cup replay last month, is essential, and, like then, there should be some good attacking football from the visitors. The key question, as always, will be whether they can find the back of the net.

The same, given their recent form, can be asked of Rovers who will be hoping that Sean Francis and Tommy Dunne can get back into the reckoning. They should have Paul Whelan back after a bout of the flu, but Matt Britton starts a suspension which will also keep him out of the weekend's game against Sligo.

Last two seasons: 1996/97: Did not meet; 97/98: Drogheda 1 Rovers 3. Recent league form: Rovers: WWLLD; United: LWDLL.
