Schools Rugby Leinster Junior Cup/St Andrew's College 8  Cistercian, Roscrea 5: St Andrew's College made the most of the conditions to complete a come-from-behind win with a drop goal from outhalf James Murray in the last minute of the Leinster Schools Fr Godfrey Junior Cup final at Templeville Road yesterday.

Halfbacks Kevin Quinlan and Jonathan Cody kept Roscrea on the front foot in the opening exchanges. The forwards' close in driving was rewarded when openside Lorcan Smyth made the line in the 15th minute.

St Andrew's, driven on by their back row of the Cremins, Eoin and Conal, and Gavin Hayes, went through phases to create an overlap for wing Fionn Casey to use his speed into the corner in the 35th minute.

The wet and windy conditions and possession now favoured the winners. Roscrea held out until Murray's drop goal effort.
