A late goal from Mayo's Tom Reilly deprived Roscommon of victory in the FBD Connacht football League game at Ballinlough yesterday.

Mayo struggled for over three-quarters of this game, played in very difficult conditions, before finally performing with a lot of confidence in the closing stages. However, Roscommon will feel they were the much better team on the day and deserved at least a share of the spoils.

With their forwards giving the Mayo defence a torrid time, Roscommon led by 0-4 to 0-3 at halftime and went 0-6 to 0-4 ahead thanks to some good free-taking by Luke Dolan.

However, five excellent frees from Maurice Sheridan kept Mayo in the game until that scrambled goal sealed victory in the last five minutes.
