ARTHUR MOORE, who has good prospects of winning both the McCain Handicap Chase and the Ladbroke Hurdle at Leopardstown today, can also be fancied to capture tomorrow's WinElectric Beginners Chase at Navan with Major Rumpus.

Fancied to win a similar event at Fairyhouse early last month, Major Rumpus made a dreadful blunder at the second fence. He was tenderly ridden when beaten by Minella Lad at Navan the previous month but I expect him to come out best tomorrow when he has Blazing Spectacle to fear.

The distance of the Proudstown Handicap Hurdle will suit the Dessie Hughes trained Final Run, who found the two miles of Dance Beat's race at Fairyhouse too short. Clahada Rose could hardly be more consistent and New Co has improved by leaps and bounds. Anabatic must also be considered in an open race but Final Run should be there or thereabouts at the finish. Hughes may also win the Trim Handicap Chase with Midnight Hour.

Betterbebob, who would have been fancied to win at aborted Tramore on Thursday, can take the Mullacurry Maiden Hurdle for the in form Willie Mullins stable, whose Lady Quayside has a chance in the Boyne Flat Race. The improving Myfavouritemartian is preferred to Minella Gold in the novice hurdle.
