The 80-minute matches consist of 20-minute quarters, with a 10-minute half-time break and fiveminute breaks after the first and third quarters.
Teams consist of 20 players, with 15 starters and five "interchange" who can come on and off the field at any stage.
The ball is the regulation Gaelic football.
Scores: Six points for the equivalent of a goal in Gaelic football, three points for an "over" (the equivalent of a point) and one point for a "behind", wide of the goalposts but within the outer posts, situated 6.5 metres from the goal on the endline.
There will be two referees and two timekeepers, one of each from both countries. Timekeepers signal the end of each quarter by siren, or hooter.
A player may not carry the ball more than 10 metres without bouncing or playing it.
A "mark" is catching the ball from the kick of another player not less than 20 metres away. After the award of a mark, a player may move behind the spot marked and take a free kick or the player may play on immediately, kicking or hand-passing the ball.
