Liston on target

Former Kerry team-mates Eoin Liston and Mike Sheehy turned opponents in the Tralee Lions Club charity outing at Tralee recently with victory going to the great goal-poacher Liston with 39 points off a 12 handicap. Sheehy finished second on 36 with Liam Hussey third with 34 points. Meanwhile, Nicky English finished runner-up in the qualifying round of the captain's (Edward Lowry) prize at Tipperary but had to forego the matchplay stages because of his involvement as manager of Tipperary team. Seannie Cummins beat secretary manager Joe Considine in the final.
