GAA: Limerick 2-11 Clare 0-15 AET – 2-6 to 0-12 after normal time:LIMERICK OUT-SCORED Clare five points to three in extra-time in a thrilling contest at the Gaelic Grounds. And they can thank James Kelly, who goaled with the last kick to force extra-time.

Mike Sheehan and Podge Collins both saw red for second yellow card offences. Limerick played into the gale in the first half and were more than happy to be just a point in arrears at the break.

Making light of the wind, Clare rolled off five points without reply inside 12 minutes of the restart but three frees kept Limerick in touch until Kelly’s late strike.
