Laois 3-11 Kildare 0-11:LAOIS ADVANCED to the Leinster final with a comprehensive win at Portlaoise yesterday. Laois scored their first goal in the 10th minute when Donie Kingston sent a great ball into the path of James Doyle who finished first-time to the net.

Then just on the call of half-time, full forward Brian Glynn rifled to the net for a 2-4 to 0-4 lead at the break.

Laois centre back Ger Reddin stretched his side’s lead as Kildare tacked on points from substitutes Tom McCann and David White. The final five minutes produced real drama. First Kildare had a penalty and rebound saved, and in injury time Laois captain James Doyle set up Zach Tuohy who goaled.
