Leinster have easy win

This was an easy introduction to a long season for most of the Leinster Under-20 players

This was an easy introduction to a long season for most of the Leinster Under-20 players. The Canadians were not surprised at the uncomfortable welcome given to them by their hosts at Donnybrook last night. From the moment Leinster scrum- half Scally barged over in the first minute, there was a sense of annihilation in the air. Leinster did go on to score three more tries from flanker Michael McLoughlin, prop Andy O'Brien and outhalf Andy Dunne in the first quarter. But they did show mercy thereafter, allowing the Canadians back into the game.Leinster could have quickened the tempo, if they so desired.

However, a string of substitutions and a lack of incentive meant that Canada inched their way into the game. Indeed, Canada ended the night with four tries from centres Derek Daypuck and Chris Kitt, winger Darryl Underwood and flanker Chris Mooney.Leinster scorers: A O'Brien, R Casey, A Dunne, D Campion, C Scally, M McLoughlin, try each M McKeogh, try, pen and 5 cons.
