Racing News: David Wachman saddled a two-year-old newcomer to win at Leopardstown during the week and Le-Monde could be a bet to advertise the trainer's versatility by scoring over fences at Cork today.

There is a big field for the Beginners Chase but it will be a surprise if Pillar Rock and Le-Monde aren't at least involved at the finish.

The Wachman runner is just a five-year-old but he came nearest of all to the high class Wouldn't You Agree at Tralee and a repeat of that form may well be enough to account for Pillar Rock who was running a big race at Clonmel until crashing out.

There will be plenty of interest in the prolific Rockstown Boy as he goes in search of another success in the novice hurdle.

Last time the Byrnes runner had too much for the JP McManus owned The Boys In Green at Tralee but the McManus team could have a better option now in Kadiskar who returned to action with an easy victory at Sligo last month.

The famous green and gold colours will also be fancied to pick up the concluding maiden hurdle with Kickham but it might not pay to be too confident about a horse that has disappointed since his bumper days.

Kickham ran on the level at the Punchestown festival and didn't make much impression so an eye should be kept on the well-bred Quest For A Star who raced off 91 on the flat in its previous start.

Cozzene's Honor was an okay fourth to the Ballydoyle-colt Mingun at Leopardstown and may have enough to pick up the mile and a quarter maiden.

Stellarette earned a 75 rating for a second to Young Vintage at Gowran and that could have the JC Burns horse ahead of the game in the seven-furlong handicap.
