Knight Legend in good form to contend

KNIGHT LEGEND ran a fine race under a big weight at the Galway festival and conditions look to favour him for this evening’s feature at Ballinrobe.

Jessica Harrington’s consistent horse lines up for the €17,500 chase over an extended two miles, and though Knight Legend concedes 10lb to Jubilant Note, the ground looks to have turned against Ruby Walsh’s mount.

Walsh could also have to settle for minor honours in the concluding Beginners Chase with Willie Mullins’ Coffee Tea Or Me.

A pair of Pierse Hurdle winners – Penny’s Bill (2009) and Spring The Que (2007) – also feature in this, but a safer option could be Noel Meade’s Narquois.

Dermot Weld’s veteran Mutakarrim has his first start in 11 months in the claimer and with a 92 rating is worth a look.

Galway third Tatacoa is preferred to festival winner Qassaar in the nine-furlong handicap.
