KILDARE leaders of the National League first division, have made four changes in their side to face Derry at Newbridge on Sunday. Killian Brennan has gone to Australia for six months and is replaced by John Whelan at midfield, Martin Ryan comes in for Richard Coyle at corner back, Derek Maher takes over from the injured Brian Fahy and Padraig Craven is back after injury and replaces Leonard Dolan.

The beaten All Ireland finalists Mayo have two new names in their line up for their vital second division match against Clare in Ennis. The newcomers to National League fare are Pat Coyne from the Michael Davitt's club at right half back and David Heaney at right corner forward.

A surprise move by the Mayo manager John Maughan is the selection of Liam McHale at centre forward with Colm McMenamon partnering Pat Fallon at midfield. All Star James Horan, former captain Dermot Flanagan and John Casey are all relegated to the substitutes' bench. Back into the side comes Ronan Golding at full forward while utility player Pat Holmes fills in at full back for Kevin Cahill who has a shoulder injury. Kevin Mortimer moves from the right to the left of the fullback line where he fills Flanagan's place.

Paul Clarke is back in the Dublin team after injury and plays at left half forward in Parnell Park against Louth. Darren Homan will partner Brian Stynes at midfield while Eamon Heaney is included at left corner back where his partners will be Paddy Moran in the other corner and Ciaran Walsh.
