CONNACHT SFC SEMI-FINALS: St Brigid's 0-16 Tourlestrane 0-10SENAN KILBRIDE scored six points as St Brigid's battled back from a lacklustre first half performance at Markievicz park yesterday.

Man of the Match Kilbride was involved in many of the Roscommon side’s best moves in the second half as the visitors took a firm grip on the game.

Tourlestrane were reduced to 14 players late on when their top scorer Brian Egan was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Tourlestrane led 0-5 to 0-4 at half-time, but Damian Kelleher levelled matters for St Brigid’s 30 seconds into the second half.

St Brigid’s led for the first time in the game six minutes into the second half when Kilbride pointed from play and last year’s beaten All-Ireland club finalists were never headed thereafter.

Tourlestrane were four points ahead early on with two coming from Gary Gaughan before Frankie Dolan got St Brigid’s off the mark in the 10th minute.

The Sligo champions rarely allowed the Saints space to get into their usual rhythm. A great pass by Darren Dolan found Padraic Kelly in front of the Tourlestrane goal after 13 minutes, but Kelly had to be satisfied with a point.
