Kevin Keegan could be allowed to carry on as England coach on a part-time basis beyond the summer and still stay as boss of Fulham. Although the Football Association (FA) insist their top priority is to find a full-time coach, they will consider allowing Keegan to stay on at the England helm on a part-time basis through to the Euro 2000 finals.

Saturday's win over Poland was the first in Keegan's four-game stint as part-time coach. Keegan has already achieved in style the FA's first priority, which was to raise morale. His Fulham contract expires in June 2000.
