Sports reporters, reaching for the book of cliches, may refer to a player's "magnetism", but especially on the senior tour that is becoming a literal rather than a figurative term with players attaching coin-sized magnets to various parts of the anatomy!

Christy O'Connor junior has joined the ranks of those using magnets for pain relief for long-term pain in his back and elbows. "I tried almost every type of conventional treatment. Within a short time of using magnetic therapy the pain eased and I could swing a club again," he explained.
